LANDLORD REMINDERS

  • Allow housing to inspect the unit at reasonable times and after reasonable notice
  • Collects the tenant rent contribution, damages family owes, and/or security deposit
  • Complete all housing information required in a promptly manner
  • Complies with equal opportunity requirements
  • Do not commit any serious of repeated violation of the lease
  • Cannot sublease the unit
  • Enforces tenant obligations under lease
  • Maintains unit in accordance to housing quality standards, and performs maintenance
  • Notify housing and the owner before ANY  moves or terminations 30 days in advance
  • Notify housing if a household moves out
  • Notify housing promptly if you evict a client
  • Pays for utilities and services that are applicable
  • Perform all obligations under the HAP contract and lease
  • Performs all management and rental functions for the assisted unit
  • Provide any information that housing or HUD determines necessary in program
  • Understand house guests cannot stay longer than 10 days without jeopardizing housing assistance
  • Give housing & tenant 60 days notice prior to rent increase
  • Notify housing if tenant is behind in paying their portion of rent
