Tenant reminders

  • Inform housing if you have new employment, change jobs, or lose income as soon as possible
  • Allow housing to inspect the unit at reasonable times and after reasonable notice
  • Disclose and verify social security numbers
  • Do not commit any serious or repeated violation of the lease
  • Do not commit drug or violent crimes
  • Do not sublease the unit
  • Must keep all basic utilities current or risk losing assistance
  • Notify housing and the owner before ANY moves or terminations 30 days in advance
  • Notify housing if a household member moves out
  • Pay for any damages to the unit cause by the household
  • Promptly inform housing of a birth, adoption, or court-awarded custody of a child
  • Promptly notify housing if you will be out of the household for an extended time
  • Provide any information that housing or HUD determines necessary in program
  • Request housing and landlord approval to add a household member
  • Supply all information requested by housing including verification forms
  • Guest cannot stay longer than 10 days without jeopardizing housing assistance
